The
ZMI Ranch supports a population of both Mule Deer and White Tail Deer. The
bucks above
were all taken on the ranch. The ranch is 6,800 acres of CRP ground in Eastern
Washington surrounded by active wheat and barley farms. Lodging is available
upon request.
The ZMI ranch is closed to deer hunting except with the possession of a state LHP deer tag. LHP (hunt #1094) tags are available through the state “Quality Deer drawing” or purchased through ZMI ranch. The deer season for LHP tags at ZMI run from early October to mid-December each year and each tag has assigned dates. ZMI has an allotment of LHP tags which can be sold at the ranch’ discretion. The ranch is closed to all deer hunting during the general state season which allows for escapement of more quality bucks in the region. 2012 buck tags have all been allocated.
There are two doe tags available for auction for the 2012 season. Season dates: October 8-12. The price for a 2012 LHP doe tag is based on the highest bid price beginning at $100. The auction will close September 15th to the highest bidder. The highest bidder may purchase one or all available tags. Remaining tags will be offered to the next highest bidder. All LHP tags for ZMI Ranch as subject to general ranch rules and conditions. Additional fees may apply for services rendered. Email the ranch for current auction price.
